Shall we blast them ? !!!

Recently I had a very heated debate with one of my friend over the stand of today's India, particularly the press and publications, on the issue of religion, globalisation and the kind of western culture support in the ambit of Indian society. According to him, this all is a conspiracy against Indian subcontinent to dissolve away it's great history, tradition and diversity. Well no charge is wrong untill it's proven wrong. So I asked him for his reasons to make such an argument, and to my knowledge, whatever he told me and the kind of solution he proposed, it seriously, raised my eyebrows. I was feeling not only disgust but even morally down because he is my colleague and a part of this "Institute of National Importance."

As per his views, different religious community are working in order to draw fault-lines within this country. I agree to this charge as I had written about it earlier, but there is a strong difference of opinion over it as far as I am concerned. He not only said that certain community should be kicked out or just wiped out of this State because we have a lot of issues just because of this community but he also made this derisory statement  that sex done else than for the purpose of reproduction is a sin, a crime. I am glad that he, atleast agreed to that even he will commit such crime.

Taking on his later argument first, I again want to remind this fact that sex is not just for reproduction. The same Hindu Upnishads which he was talking about, observe sex as one of the reasons which they call as divine property of human beings, a property through which you can find yourself nearer to God. Though it does not say whether it is about reproduction or not. Well he resisted this argument and went on saying that it should not be the way it is in Upanishads, and I am seriously glad that the same person had said earlier while debating that religion must not be challenged because it's Religion, countering my argument that religion is nothing more than a philosophy which ought to be challenged with changing times.

His first argument regarding some community made me laugh (seriously) when I counter acted on those. And to my surprise, not only he changed his stand but even declared him to be Fascist and walked away from my room. What I said was very simple," We have such a huge population, with an average density of 346 people per sq. km which is much higher than world average (46 people per sq. km). Now, with such a high population and limited technology to garner our resources, it poses a lot of problem like malnutrition, low ranking in HDI (136 out of 187 countries), 9% growth rate in unemployment and many other countless problems. Also it is the majority which is to be blamed because they constitute to 80% of the population and you cannot blame the rest 20% for 346 vs 46 person per sq. km. Definitely majority has to play a major role. So, as per your solution government must kick out the unwanted. But since the number is high they will create foreign policy issues. So the best is : BLAST THEM ALL !!!"

I don't know about the response of the readers but his response was crystal clear : Government should go for family planning initiatives and perhaps, give chances to stand. I was successful in distinguishing the two tongues : one for himself and the rest for others.

Seriously dude, you need a medic !!

Statue of Unity or Goonity ?

When India got it's independence and started framing it's own constitution, parallely two great men were working for the stability of acoustic India which was hit by a major pogrom during those days. People across border were chopping themselves as a butcher chops meat into pieces. The purpose was "political" and had nothing to do theoretically with "Sapno ka Pakistan". These two great men, one being Nehru and the other Sardar Patel, two chosen, quite wisely in a combo pack by a sage named Gandhi, tried their best to contain these riots and let not out-breach it so that it may lead to demand of separate "Khalistan".

Nehru, being modern, worked as a Prime Minister and went on establishing schools, colleges, research institutions, industries etc. Patel being a Home Minister proved his legacy and worthiness for that job by adding the princely states, all of them (an impossible task according to the then Viceroy of India himself), defeating and pushing the invading forces out of this country in the peaceful valley of Kashmir.

In-spite of differences over several issues, these two men worked like blood brothers, which the Mother India had dreamt about. Definitely, if you are working for similar purpose, difference of opinion is liable to occur. But few goons took it as if Patel was being sided and intentionally neglected over several issues despite this fact that Nehru, don't know how many numbers of times, yielded to the ideas of Patel.

The Story of the Successor

Patel belonged to Gujarat and a politician, who is a prime ministerial candidate this time, also belongs to the same state. He has proposed a statue in the honour of Patel who unified India and kept India intact, under one umbrella. The statue will be 182 metre statue at Sadhu Bet island near the Sardar Sarovar dam in Gujarat. The site is stunning, on the far bank, about 400 metre away, the land is still untouched. In order to set up this land, Kevadia Area Development Authority (KADA) has been created. The KADA project is supposed to affect around 70 villages which is almost equal to 67 sq. km of Narmada district and the nearby area is majorly inhabited by tribal population. The rule is this that a land owned by a tribal person can only be sold to another tribal person. But under KADA, agricultural land can be declared  N.A. (non-agricultural) Once done, as according to the farmers residing nearby, they will be left with no other option than to sell their lands.

If this happens then government drop them off as PAP (project-affected-people). And hence, no compensation because it is not the government which has moved them, they themselves sold their land and moved away because it was N.A. More than that the local activist maintain this fact that the norms of Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) notification of 2006 has also not been meted out.
The areas of concerns are too many, it's difficult to mention them all here, since most of you who are reading this have "matured", I just want to give you a very small advice for free, you have internet and trust-able media groups such as Economic and Political Weekly, Frontline etc. Being a voter, you should search it out.

More than that, this successor claimed that there were always difference of opinions and Sardar was always sided away. I don't know how this Sardar went on correcting Nehru on countless issues when he was always sided. They cited few books which mentioned the differences over opinions. Well, I must say ," Sir !! that's not enough. I always have difference of opinion with my best friends when we discuss something of our common interest." I can't say what is in common interest of yours but I must conclude that mocking these great souls, which you could never be, is perhaps your hobby. And I also admit by observing the number of shares and likes on your promoted video of so called "Statue of Unity" that Katju was not wrong when he said, "90% of Indians are fools." Indeed these observations made him the number 6th judge of Supreme Court and the present Chairman of Press Council of India. And you must admit, these are responsibility which one doesn't get by making the mockery of this great democracy as you did.

Conclusion

Your project costs 2500 crore and you claimed yourself to be successor of Patel who unified this country. I pose this challenge to you, he unified all the princely states which was considered to be impossible, can you unify these Rivers which could put an end to the droughts and can become the jeevandayini for the farmers who depend on the market traders for their livelihood? Come-on Sir, this job is considered as "Possible".

I must not say anymore but the kind of support which your project has got, I must say again, Katju was no wrong. For me it does not represents "Unity" but it definitely represents " Goonity". Patel must be turning in his grave !!!

West, The Holy Bible and India

The intent of this article is not to hurt any Christian sentiment but it is an attempt to expose to the reader the another version which is very less talked about, though, its impact is unmeasurable like the Hindu extremism and Islam extremism.

When I was in higher school and going through the ancient history of India, I came across two terms, "Aryans" and "Dravidian". A basic delve will reveal that Aryans were those who resided in Northern part of India and Dravidians were those who had loosed at the hands of Aryans and pushed to the Southern part of India. Aryans being a very-very talented race, outperformed the Dravidian and became the ruler of this country of great diversity called India.

One question which arose in my mind later was, "Why there is no mentioning of such history in the ancient transcripts? Why do I find them only in the modern history books? Is there any transcript or manuscript which talks about such version? If it is then why doesn't it find it's stand in the present days as a proof ?"

The questions were too much and I don't remember them all, but as I grew these questions got modified. "Is it just a simple version of history to make the things more clearer? Is it just an attempt to make us understand about the times through which our ancestors have gone? Or is it something else ?? "

These questions got a "push" factor when I came to Kerala, God's own Country. As I researched on this, I found answers which did not only shaken me up from toe to head but also forced me to think, " The amount which many of us fund to many missionaries without prior research analysis about them, does it make it worth of it or it goes in drawing fault-lines in my own country? " The answer perhaps turned out that a few institutions in the name of the Holy-Bible are not only promoting evangelism in the name of few perks but also jeoparadising the integrity of India.

Aryans and Dravidian

The term Aryans and Dravidians (as a historical concept) are not Indian. They were introduced and promoted by Britishers itself. These two terms got there significant impact in the syllabus of few recognized South Indian University. The funda of the westerners at that time was very simple "Divide and Rule", and that is what they did. Research were organized by them in a sequential pattern for drawing fault-lines :  first they, with the help of old testament of the Holy Bible, proved slave trade, punishing slave etc. legal and few Christian priests endorsed them. (http://www.amazon.in/Bible-Defense-Slavery-Origin-History/dp/1151170895/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1382187235&sr=1-2&keywords=bible+defense+of+slavery) They used this as a tool wherever they went. When they came to India, they took the advantage of it's diversity.Lord Risley, Monier Williams, Karl Wilhelm Freidrich Schlegel were few of the people who were busy in giving shape to this fact that Aryans were of European origin, few of them migrated to India and with their great skills pushed the "locals". But later their great culture decayed because they got mixed with inferior race. Paralley, the Church evangelists were busy in creating a "dravidian" race which had to be basically based on Christian philosophies and not Indian. Such was their desperation that they got many Tamilian scholars as their supporters and a reknown tamilian scholar, M.S. Purnalingam Pillai's book, A Premier of Tamil Literature(1904) took the missionary thesis as the basis. This book was written specifically to fulfill the university examination needs, and even included an appendix with sample questions for students.

Pillai assigned the Kural(this book is considered as a holy scripture by the South Indians and indeed, it is) to the Sangam period upto 100 CE, which he claimed was the most influential Tamil period and free from the influence from Aryans and Sanskrit. Alexander D. Campbell and Francis Whyte Ellis, then collector of Madras wrote Campbell-Ellis book, Grammar of Teloogoo Language (1816), opened doors by arguing that Tamil and Telugu had common non-Sanskrit ancestor. No Indian thinker had made such a claim before. (for details read Breaking India: Western Interventions in Dravidian and Dalit Faultlines).

The Criminal Tribes Act was passed in 1871 which made it lawful to perform genocide against a list of tribes who were deemed to be "criminal", endorsing the slave argument in the Old Testaments of the Holy Bible (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bible_and_slavery). They were executing every action to justify their culture and prove this to Dravidians that they were considered as slaves by the Aryans and treated according to Bible in a "Holy" way.

Veena Oldenburg's book, Dowry Murder has given details on how Britishers through there convoluted logic promoted dowry and it was during British times that dowry gained its ground in India and not before that. What they had done was very simple, they took away women's traditional right.

Everything here was being done on the name of Churches, which were meant to be for social cause, and the Holy Bible, but the story was completely based on self-interest and easy expansion, no matter it follows genocide or worse than that.

Attempts were made by many great Indians to demonize this theory and they succeeded to much extent but could not eliminate it. B.R, Ambedkar rejected the "Nasal Index" theory of Britishers which was a parameter for distinguishing the Aryans and Non-Aryans but the story still carries on.

Conclusion

Definitely one need to re-look over this concept of Aryans and Dravidians or Dasyus and if necessary, eliminate it not from the text necessarily, but from our soul which was implanted by foreign powers who ruled us for 200 years. More than that one can definitely argue that untill and unless we could not free ourselves from this concept and keep on believing these Missionaries (not all of them) which have still kept us in British India, we are "not free India".
